From FSNYC’s website:”Episode 3 of Everything’s on the Table features a panel discussion on good food jobs and challenges facing food workers. Panelists will discuss the food economy through various frameworks, including: a recent report that analyzes strategies to create jobs such as building new processing plants and increasing SNAP enrollment; food workers’ perspectives on challenges facing the sector; and key policy challenges our next mayor must tackle to achieve a just food system and a healthy economy.”
This week’s show will include FSNYC Leadership Committee memeber Benjamin Solotaire, FSNYC Leadership Committee member and Executive Director of Hunger Action Netowrk of NYS Mark Dunlea. Guests will include NYC Food Policy Center co-director Nicholas Fredenberg as well as Diana Robinson, Campaign and Education Coordinator for Food Chain Workers Alliance, a coalition of worker-based organizations organizing to improve wages and working conditions for all workers along the food chain. A food-worker will also shaire their experience working in a restaurant.
