About the Organization:
A community based real estate development corporation was established to revitalize under-invested West and Central Harlem communities and now functions to quell the negative impact of rapid gentrification on low to moderate income residents as they experience an influx of new businesses and investments. WHGA’s three-year strategic plan aims to build assets that include home ownership, enterprise and education programs and targets households earning less than 80% of area median income. For residents who lack the capacity for asset building, WHGA offers an affordable housing development and preservation agenda.
