Ashley’s research on nutrition policy has been published in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine, the Archives of Internal Medicine, and the Journal of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. In 2016, she was named one of New York City’s 40 under 40 working to transform the food system by the New York City Food Policy Center at Hunter College. Before establishing Thoughtful Food Nutrition, Ashley was a Senior Advisor in the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene’s Bureau of Chronic Disease Prevention & Tobacco Control, where she developed innovative policies and programs to improve access to healthy foods.

Ashley Lederer, MS, RD, CDN, founder, is a health and wellness expert specializing in chronic disease prevention and management, healthy weight loss, food allergies and gastrointestinal disorders.
