About the Organization:
PolicyLink is a national research and action organization that aims to foster economic and social equality and connect communities to create sustainable solutions and determine best practices. With offices in New York City and Oakland, Calif., PolicyLink helps residents in low-income communities and communities of color create stronger, healthier, more vibrant places to live, learn and work by helping to increase access to quality jobs, affordable housing, good schools, reliable transportation, healthy food, and safe places to play. Their primary areas of focus include equitable economy, infrastructure equity, and health equity and place. They also partner with other organizations to found programs such as the Institute for Black Male Achievement and the Alliance for Boys.
Latest Project:
PolicyLink recently joined up with the consulting firm FSG to launch the Ambassadors for Health Equity Fellowship, which will bring together a cohort of leaders from various sectors outside of the health field to engage with and advance systemic solutions for health equity. This fellowship, funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, is one of three initiatives within the Foundation’s Open Box initiative.
