Shop Healthy NYC is an initiative of the Health Department that aims to increase access to healthy food and engage residents and organizations to support sustainable food retail change in their community. The program influences supply and demand by working with food retailers, suppliers & distributors, and community members and organizations.

Local Produce: Where to Find Nutrition Education Workships/Health Bucks (Farmers' Markets; Pre-purchased Produce Boxes; Community Supported Agriculture (CSA)).
Food Distributors: Good Choice (Good Choice is a nutrition initiative that makes it easier for distributors to highlight healthier products. NYC Food distributors can use Good Choice to identify healthier healthier items in their inventory that meet the NYC Food Standards, in return their customers can more easily find and purchase healthier ingredients.
