Latest Projects

In June 2016, Live Light Live Right hosted its inaugural annual conference on "The Healing Power of Food," with lecturers, a panel discussion, and a dozen vendors. The day-long event aimed to change the way the people of the Brownsville and East New York sections of Brooklyn approach nutrition, and to generate a community-wide dialogue about food justice, food security and the importance of food for health in general.

Interesting Fact

Of Live Light participants, 50% have lowered blood pressure, and insulin, cholesterol and triglyceride levels; 70% have decreased relative body mass index scores; and 40% have shown normalization of cardio-metabolic risk factors.
