Our recent research includes: an in-depth study of how school gardens successfully integrate into NYC schools; evaluations of school wellness programs including FoodCorps and Wellness in the Schools; reports on the landscape of federal, state, and local nutrition education policy; a study on the landscape of nutrition education programs in NYC schools, including characteristics and distribution of programming; and an in-process evaluation of the impact of publicly-funded NYC school cafeteria renovations on student participation in and consumption of school lunch.

Since its beginnings in 1909, the Teachers College Program in Nutrition has been at the forefront of the field by conducting cutting edge research, providing education to promote health through encouraging dietary change, and shaping policy that creates a more sustainable world.
