We welcome volunteers of all ages to Saturday “drop-in” hours from 11A to 3P (weather permitting, April to October) at our 118 West 134 Street Farm. No registration required.

About the Organization:
Tony Hillery founded Harlem Grown in 2011 with one farm and one school partnership. Today, we have grown into ten urban agricultural facilities, five intensive school partnerships, and dozens of public and private school relationships via our educational farm tours and service learning programs. In 2016 we reached 4,800 students through our youth programming, which includes school partnerships, farm tours, Saturday enrichment, and summer camp – programs that work in tandem to impact youth throughout the entire calendar year and engage through a variety of approaches.
Latest Project:
Completed pilot year of our new Food & Farming Curriculum with three elementary schools during the 2016-17 school year. Launched the Wagner Houses Farm in 2016, part of the Farms at NYCHA initiative.
