Interesting Fact
Meals for program participants are prepared by Brent Lyman, who studied organic farming in France and Zen in Japan. In 2012, he helped organize the kitchen at the Occupy Sandy Hub, providing aid to thousands of New Yorkers whose lives were disrupted by Hurricane Sandy.

Core Programs
Eco Practicum offers hands-on education in ecological justice for college students, recent grads, and young professionals. Their programs are intensive, experiential, and place-based, ranging from one-day and week-long workshops in New York City to month-long immersions in the Catskill mountains. Eco Practicum participants get to meet experts with diverse backgrounds, collaborate on campaign plans and strategies with partner organizations, and gain practical experience with farming and building projects.
