Latest Projects
We plan to open our tenth Mobile Market this spring, in Brooklyn. We currently operate nine markets throughout the five boroughs. Mobile Markets are our direct distributions of free, fresh produce to residents in low-income communities – they are open-air, farmers’ market-style distributions serving some 500 residents per market.
Interesting Fact
In 2016, City Harvest predicts they will collect 55 million pounds of excess food to help feed the nearly 1.4 million New Yorkers struggling to put meals on their tables.
