Food Policy
Brighter Green is the incubator for the Vegan America Project (veganamericaproject.com), a multivalent, multi-year conceptual study of how we might imagine the United States as a “vegan” country. The task is to think beyond current social, political, and economic constraints to imagine a future that is genuinely sustainable, climate resilient, and socially equitable.
Brighter Green is also working on sustainable food programs and identities in China, resisting the spread of factory farming in Africa, and producing policy papers on efforts to reduce sugar and soda consumption around the world.
