Youth Farm Internship Program
The Youth Farm Internship Program is back, in the TurnUp Garden at Nicole’s Place (152 Tompkins) this Spring and Summer!
We’re hiring youth ages 13-16 to work with us at the garden for a 16-week program.
Youth Interns will:
• Grow food in the garden for our pantry
• Learn about the food system, equity,
justice, and how to effect change
• Prepare for work by creating their own
resume, doing mock interviews & more
• Cook delicious meals using garden
produce
• Make friends and practice working in a
team to achieve their goals
• Earn $1000 in 16 weeks
Special events and projects will include:
• Movie and homemade popcorn days
• Field trips
• Guest speakers
Program details:
May 11 -June 25: Weds & Thurs, 4pm-6pm
July 1-Aug 29: Weds & Thurs 10am-1pm, Sat 10am-2pm
Youth will be paid monthly in four
installments of $250.
Competitive selection process includes an application form and interview.
Applications are due April 13th.
