Naomi Starkman is a Founder and the Editor-in-Chief of Civil Eats, the James Beard Foundation Foundation’s 2014 Publication of the Year. She is a 2015-16 John S. Knight Journalism Fellow at Stanford.
In conversation with Charles Platkin, PhD, JD, MPH, the executive director of the NYC Food Policy Center at Hunter College, we will discuss the founding of Civil Eats, the rising interest in and the importance of covering food policy, and why food is indeed political.
